The Pioneering Belgium

Finally, a country that will ban the wearing burqa is here.  What about women who want to exercise their right to follow a tradition like wearing burqa?   Oppressed people do not necessarily know what’s good for them.  For some, it is the only way of life that they know of and are afraid of change.  For others, they are just lazy to take more responsibility of their life.  More freedom requires more responsibility.  A slave has a master to dictate and order him around.  It’s also like relying on God to give us a purpose in life-“Purpose Driven Life” for slaves who are afraid to take responsibility of their life.  A few decades from now, the wearing of burqa will be likened to footbinding in China.  Even after footbinding was banned around1911, many young girls still secretly bind their feet.  Talk about masochism and self-mutilation. Some Chinese girls justify their stupidity by exonerating the reason saying it’s sensual and sexual and Chinese men have fetish for bound feet.  Why should we sacrifice to that degree for a man’s erection? My grandma had bound feet and it’s awful.  Here’s a photo of bound feet:

The bound feet were supposed to be pretty. Something like being able to fit into the shoes of Cinderella. I think in the original story, or other versions, some strange things were done to their feet, too.
